What Women Want

Okay, I don't really like having to think up new stuff whenever people ask what I want for Christmas or my birthday. So, in the interest of my sanity (since I'm trying to get gifts for other people at Christmas time and stuff), I'm going to post a list here. If I get something, I'll take it off. If I think of something else, I'll put it on. See? Simpler (I hope)!

The List

  • Long sleeve shirts/sweaters
  • cute aprons
  • Kitchen utensils (containers for flour/sugar/etc., potato masher, microplane zester, more cake decorating tips, etc.)
  • A tea kettle
  • A tea pot
  • The Lion King on DVD - gotta build up my Disney collection!
  • CDs:
    • Trans-Siberian Orchestra
    • Da Vinci's Notebook
    • the new Moosebutter CD - udder won
    • Sacred from Los Lonely Boys
    • Message for Albert from Five for Fighting (that was the first CD, before I discovered the greatness)
  • Alternately, if you don't feel like buying a CD, I now have iTunes, and a gift certificate would be great
  • yarn (or at least moneys for yarn) is always nice
  • Books: any books are cool, but especially:
    • Cooking-type books - Not cookbooks (I have enough problems because I keep buying those on my own!) but books that explain ingredients and how they interact, and how you can change recipes to get different results; for example, Ratio by Michael Ruhlman
    • Amazing Crochet Lace by Doris Chan - I think my favorite things to crochet are lacy patterns, because they work up so quickly and look really cool and are so pretty. So, this book... looks like the most amazing thing ever! ^_^
    • Get Your Crochet On! (Hip Hats & Cool Caps) by Afya Ibomu - I also like crocheting hats, because they are also fast. Have I mentioned that I'm a bit ADD about crocheting? I don't like projects that take a long time. I get bored.
    • The Princess Bride by William Goldman
    • Couture Crochet Workshop: Mastering Fit, Fashion, and Finesse by Lily M. Chin - this book looks so amazing. I want.
    • Singing Whales and Flying Squid by Richard Ellis
    • The Female Brain by Louann Brizendine
    • Terry Pratchett books
    • Biology books ('cause I'm a biology geek. It's kind of sad. X-D)
    • Um... fantasy is good.
    • Science fiction type stuff.
