Can you teach old dogs new tricks?

Question: Does age have an effect on the learning ability of a Brittany dog?

Background Info: See my background research report.

Hypothesis: I think that my older dog will learn about half as well as my younger dog, so it will take twice as long for the older dog to be at a point than the younger dog.

Materials:

• 12-year-old Brittany dog (Nutmeg)
• 2-year-old Brittany dog (Tess)
• Dog treats broken into small pieces (I used Healthy Treats Chicken Jerky with Vegetables)
• Timer/stopwatch to record minutes and seconds
